Technical staff from the Castellón Provincial Council's Restoration Service participated this week in a specialized course to update knowledge on the conservation and restoration of sculptural works.

The training, organized by the provincial institution's Training department, took place at the Penyeta Roja socio-educational complex facilities under the title ‘Analysis, Review, and Update of Knowledge in Restoration and Conservation of Sculptural Works’.
The course combined theoretical and practical content and was taught by artist and restoration technician Mariano Nieto Núñez. According to information provided by the Council, the initiative aims to improve the technical staff's capabilities in the conservation and intervention processes for sculptural heritage.
This initiative is part of the continuous training activities promoted by the provincial institution to maintain the specialization of the teams responsible for the conservation and restoration of cultural assets. The Castellón Provincial Council has a Restoration Service that works on preserving the province's heritage elements through conservation, recovery, and maintenance actions.
