The XI Senior Citizens Fair of Gandia has opened its doors in the Casa de Cultura garden, dedicating two days to active aging, coexistence, and social participation for older adults.

The event, which began this Tuesday, includes an institutional visit to 14 stands where associations and entities present resources and initiatives for the well-being of senior citizens. The inaugural act was attended by the mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, and the councilor delegated for Senior Citizens, Maribel Codina.
During the opening, recognition was given to the 21 people who participated in the fair's poster competition. The winning poster award went to Enric Furió, while the design of the official t-shirt, created by Concepció Camarena Àngel, was also recognized.

"Our coexistence centers are among the best in the city."

José Manuel Prieto · Mayor of Gandia
The mayor highlighted the fundamental role of the coexistence centers and the work of the teams that make them possible, as well as the importance of users as the central axis of these spaces. He emphasized that they are places where

one learns, coexists, is stimulated, works, dances, enjoys, and creates

regardless of age or physical condition.
The fair will take place on May 13 and 14 with a varied program that includes sports activities such as masterclasses in gymnastics, yoga, zumba, and fit flam, as well as gastronomic proposals like a fideuá showcooking with tasting. There will also be dance exhibitions, musical performances by the Coexistence Center Choir and students from CEAM de Gandia, and a concert by international guitarist Manu León.
