The Guillermo Olagüe Stadium witnessed an emotional day this Sunday with the celebration of CF Gandia's league title. The blue and white team drew 1-1 against CF Llutxent, in a match that served as the perfect setting to celebrate the brilliantly achieved championship. This draw marks the end of an exceptional season for CF Gandia, who finished in first place with 67 points, the result of 21 victories in 30 matches played. The team stood out for its defensive solidity and offensive potential, closing the season with a goal average of +47.
Before the match, the club paid tribute to all the teams in its academy. After the final whistle, the squad officially received the champions' trophy, presented by the president of the Valencian Community Football Federation (FFCV), Salvador Gomar, to the team captain.
The ceremony was attended by the mayor of Gandia, José Manuel Prieto, and the Councilor for Sports, Jesús Naveiro, accompanied by members of the local corporation, to congratulate the players and coaching staff on their title.
The celebrations will continue this afternoon with an offering of the title to the City's Patron Saint at the Insigne Colegiata de Gandia at 6:15 PM. Subsequently, at 7:00 PM, there will be an official reception at the Gandia City Hall by the municipal authorities.
