The municipality of Bellreguard will host the second edition of the Aplec de la Safor, an event combining celebration, culture, and advocacy for the Valencian language, taking place on Saint John's Eve, June 23.

This initiative, organized by Joves pel Valencià in collaboration with the Bellreguard City Council, takes over from Daimús, which hosted the first edition. The goal is to consolidate a gathering that promotes linguistic normalization and a sense of belonging in the Valencian regions.
The II Aplec de la Safor will be held in the sports area of Bellreguard, next to the IES Joan Fuster, including parking for musical performances. An attendance of 3,000 people is expected, double the 1,500 who participated in the previous edition in Daimús.

"Last year in Daimús was a success thanks to the involvement of the city council, and in 2026 we thought of Bellreguard to commemorate the last Aplec de la Safor held in this town 45 years ago. The Bellreguard council is also fully committed to this event."

The program will include live music, cultural activities, popular culture, and spaces for debate and reflection. Admission will be free, with only a ticket required for the popular dinner. Although the organization has not yet revealed the names of the confirmed musical groups, a varied offering is anticipated.
This edition's motto, «Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol» (Any night the sun can rise), connects with last year's, «Una nit que durarà anys» (A night that will last years), reinforcing the message of perseverance in defending Valencian. More than fifty people, including members of Joves pel Valencià and volunteers, are part of the organizational team.
Joves pel Valencià, founded on December 14, 2024, at the Casal Jaume I de Gandia, is a youth organization dedicated to the defense and normalization of Valencian in all areas, from education to local commerce, with the aim of making La Safor «a region with its own voice, articulated within a free, plural, and open Valencian Country».
