The city of Gandia is preparing to welcome over 400 triathletes for the tenth edition of the City of Gandia Triathlon, taking place on Sunday, April 12, at Grau beach, solidifying the town's reputation as a sports hub.

The event, a key part of the local sports calendar, was presented by the Sports Councilor, Jesús Naveiro, and the president of the Club Triatló Gandia, Álex Muñoz. This competition, along with the duathlon scheduled for Saturday, will bring together nearly 800 athletes in total.
The sprint triathlon will commence at 9:00 AM and will feature a 750-meter swim, a 21.5-kilometer bike ride, and a 5-kilometer run. The course will stretch between the port and the promenade, extending to the breakwater lighthouse of Grau de Gandia beach.
The race is a scoring event for the Comunitat Valenciana Clubs League and is organized by the Federació de Triatló de la Comunitat Valenciana in collaboration with the Club Triatló Gandia. Additionally, an open category has been included to allow participation from athletes not affiliated with league divisions or from other regions.

"Gandia is once again positioning itself as a key enclave for sports in the Comunitat Valenciana, hosting top-level competitions and attracting athletes, coaches, and fans, thereby also revitalizing the beach."

The organizers have announced that the circuit will be closed to traffic between 9:00 AM and approximately 1:00 PM, primarily affecting the beachfront and adjacent streets. Cooperation from residents and visitors is requested to ensure the safety of participants, especially during the cycling segment.
