The mayor of Cullera has been appointed 'tauleter' for the upcoming patron saint festivities, a role he will perform in the traditional 'baixà' of the Mare de Déu del Castell, one of the most emblematic moments of the local celebrations.

This designation implies a more intense participation for the municipal representative in the city's festivities. 'Tauleters' are the individuals responsible for preparing the 'tauleta' where the patron saint rests during her descent from the castle sanctuary, an event that marks the beginning of the festivities each year in Cullera.
This year, three people will fulfill this function. Along with the mayor, a councillor from the PSPV in Favara will also serve as 'tauleter'. The Councillor for Festivities of Cullera will accompany the municipal representative in carrying out this important festive duty.
