The Torreblanca Town Council held an extraordinary plenary session this Thursday to officially name the representatives for the 2026 patron saint festivals. This event concludes the selection process, which was carried out by lottery.
Rosa Ribes has been officially named queen of the Torreblanca 2026 festivals, while Sofía Fabregat will serve as the child queen. The council also ratified the senior Maids of Honor Blanca Bort Fabregat, Arantxa Vidal Gual, and Estela Herrera Herreros, as well as the child Maids of Honor Mara Pérez Martorell, Nahiara Tena Vázquez, and Adriana Beltrán Ferrando.
The mayor of Torreblanca, Tania Agut, congratulated all the young women and their families. She emphasized the importance of this role, which symbolizes the enthusiasm and deep-rooted tradition of the patron saint festivals. "I am convinced that all of them will carry out this role with pride and responsibility, being the best ambassadors for our municipality," she stated.
The Councilor for Festivals, Paco Domenech, affirmed that "the queens and maids represent the continuity of a tradition deeply cherished by the residents of Torreblanca. They are a fundamental part of our festivals and contribute to keeping alive a legacy passed down through generations."
Agut also expressed gratitude for the involvement of the families and all those who make it possible to maintain this tradition, adding that "behind each of these young women are families who experience this moment with immense emotion and who contribute to preserving one of the most important identity markers of our festivals."
