The Cullera City Council decided to cancel the performance of the La Mundial orchestra during the Major Festivals, which began on April 11, due to deficiencies in the technical safety controls of the stage setup.

The Major Festivals of Cullera, held in honor of the Mare de Déu del Castell, commenced with an unexpected change in their program. The Cullera City Council announced the suspension of the La Mundial orchestra's concert, which was scheduled for 00:30 on Plaça la Llibertat.

"The setup planned for the La Mundial orchestra tonight has not passed the technical safety controls for its proper development. From the Cullera City Council, we have decided to suspend its performance. Safety, first."

Jordi Mayor · Mayor of Cullera
Despite this cancellation, the first day of the festivities, April 11, successfully hosted the Festival Marítim. This event took place in the La Rada parking lot and featured performances by groups such as Els Catarres, Esther, Reina Mora, and local band Gramoxone Ska Band.
Safety at public events has become a priority for local councils, especially after previous incidents. The case of the Medusa festival in Cullera is recalled, where a sandstorm caused part of the main stage to collapse, resulting in one fatality and numerous injuries. Although the setups for popular festivals are smaller in scale, rigorous technical controls are essential to ensure the integrity of attendees.
