Adif has restored train service between Almussafes and Silla after replacing stolen copper cable, which caused delays on the C2 commuter line in València, affecting numerous teachers heading to a strike demonstration.

The Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has announced the restoration of normal railway service on the Almussafes-Silla section, within the València commuter rail network. This measure was taken after the stolen copper cable was replaced and the damages caused by the incident to the infrastructure were repaired.
Since early Monday, Renfe had reported significant delays on the C2 commuter line due to the cable theft. Technicians worked quickly in the affected area to resolve the incident and minimize inconvenience to users.
The delays began at the start of service, with trains such as the 05:25 AM departure to l'Alcúdia, which was running through Algemesí with a fifteen-minute delay. This situation surprised many teachers from Ribera municipalities who were traveling to València to participate in a demonstration called for the indefinite strike starting today.
Other trains were also affected, such as the one departing from València Nord at 06:37 AM bound for Gandia, which left fifteen minutes late, and the 06:50 AM train to Xàtiva, which ran through Algemesí with a 26-minute delay. Renfe indicated that average delays on this commuter line were about 15 minutes until full service was restored around midday.
