The maritime jousts and the sailor's parade were the most prominent events of Escala a Castelló, bringing together over 200 participants and a large crowd of all ages in Grao.

These two acts, renowned for their spectacular nature and high participation, brought life to Castelló's maritime district. The day was attended by the Councillor for Tourism, Arantxa Miralles; the Councillor for Environment, Gonzalo Romero; and the director of Escale à Sète, Wolfgang Idiri, who closely followed the activities.

"The maritime jousts are one of the most spectacular and participatory moments of the festival. We have the involvement of Sète, a friendly city with which we share a deep maritime tradition. These types of cultural exchanges enrich the event, strengthen international ties, and project Castelló beyond our borders."

The Grao experienced a festive atmosphere throughout the day, with numerous visitors taking the opportunity to see the participating vessels. Councillor Gonzalo Romero highlighted the success of the program, which allowed the public to discover the history and maritime tradition of the area.
The sailor's parade generated great anticipation, with the participation of various local groups and associations such as the Colla de Dolçainers i Tabaleters del Grau, the trabucaires of Colla Xaloc, the Grup de Danses Illes Columbretes, Botafocs, the Comisión de Fiestas del Grau, and the Germandat dels Cavallers de la Conquesta. The delegation from Sète also joined the parade, emphasizing the international character of the event.
The maritime jousts, celebrating their ninth edition with 40 participants, took place in the inner dock of the port, in front of the Moll de Costa. These duels between boats, where participants try to knock their opponents off with long poles, once again captivated the audience, solidifying their place as one of the most exciting moments of the festival.
