La Nit de l'Art de Castelló concludes its 18th edition this Saturday, following a successful start that has established the project as an inclusive space for contemporary art in the city.

The event, celebrating its coming of age, has broken records with 130 proposals selected from nearly 700 received from across Spain and 21 countries. The public's response on the opening day was spectacular, with streets and art centers packed, demonstrating the interest in art that reinterprets the urban environment.

"The public's response on the opening day has been spectacular, with streets and art centers packed. It is exciting to see how art manages to raise awareness, entertain, and, above all, reinterpret our urban environment as an open space. We have one Saturday left to fully savor this collective involvement of artists and entities that makes Castelló a benchmark for living culture."

To ensure that rain does not spoil the grand finale of this edition, the organization has strategically relocated several outdoor proposals to covered venues, maintaining their participatory essence. For example, the puppet, clown, and music show La Manzana Roja has moved to the chapel of ECO Les Aules, and the dance and circus piece Suspensió by Compañía Circar was performed at the Museu de Belles Arts.
Additionally, the Dance Exhibition of the Professional Dance Conservatory of Castelló and the Municipal Arts Center Rafel Martí de Viciana, along with the subsequent gala of the CPMD Calasancio, have moved from Huertos Sogueros square to the Professional Music and Dance Center Calasancio. The La Nit de l'Art agenda will exceptionally extend to Sunday with two activities that will definitively close the program: the Dansa Natura workshop at the Templete del Ribalta and the guided tour A walk through the history of Grau.
The Saturday program included routes through the Open Studios Amarillo Cadmio, Magenta, and Azul Cian, which allowed the public to discover the creative processes of 12 artist studios in the city. El Grau maintained its pulse with performative dance by the company Laumar and its proposal #TAGME at the Edificio Moruno, and with the Infernal Murals by the Botafocs collective at the Edificio del Reloj.
The streets of the historic center hosted installations and performances, such as Live Painting and Exhibition Limits by María Artnow, and immersive experiences at the Menador Espai Cultural. The Espai d’Art Contemporani de Castelló (EACC) continued to showcase the talent of artist Erik Schmidt. La Nit de l'Art has expanded its commitment to bringing culture to everyday and unconventional spaces, from the Central Market to the Provincial Hospital or the Hotel Interlier Rosa.
This 18th edition has been notable for the power of performance, with 17 proposals. Following the inauguration with Colores, a dance piece by students from the Espai Escènic Dansa i Teatre, the program concluded with Morir amando by Paula Ortiz and Némesis creativa by Pere Ribera. With this second and final day, La Nit de l'Art de Castelló bid farewell to an edition that once again transformed the city into a large shared cultural meeting space.
