Facsa and UJI Award 22 New Scholarships to Castelló Students

The scholarship program by Facsa and Universitat Jaume I reaches its tenth edition, benefiting 22 undergraduate students from Castelló de la Plana.

The scholarship program promoted by Facsa and Universitat Jaume I has awarded 22 new grants to undergraduate students residing in Castelló de la Plana, aimed at covering university tuition fees.

This initiative, celebrating its tenth edition, has provided scholarships to a total of 241 students since its launch in the 2016-2017 academic year. Economic and academic criteria were considered for the scholarship awards, determining the distribution of a total budget of 22,000 euros.
The scholarship award ceremony was attended by prominent figures such as the Vice-Rector for Students and Healthy Living, Mamen Pastor; the CEO of Facsa, Elena Llopis; the Mayor of Castelló de la Plana, Begoña Carrasco; the Head of Institutional Relations for Facsa in Castelló, Rafael Ferrer, and the Manager of the UJI General Foundation, Juan Antonio Bertolín.

Vice-Rector Mamen Pastor thanked Facsa for its collaboration with the public university of Castelló in promoting university talent. She also congratulated the scholarship recipients for their dedication and urged them to give back this investment to society through their professional endeavors.
For her part, Elena Llopis, CEO of Facsa, emphasized the special significance of this edition, as it marks ten years of commitment to young talent. She highlighted the program's vocation to support academic effort and create real opportunities for students, valuing the collaboration with Universitat Jaume I and the Castelló City Council.

Finally, Mayor Begoña Carrasco stressed that the scholarship recognizes the students' effort and merit, and represents the trust that Castelló places in them. She added that the future is built with trained and talented young people who have opportunities to develop and stay here, strengthening the bond between young talent and their city.
