The city of Castellón has released the calendar of activities for the festivities in honor of the Mare de Déu del Lledó, its patron saint, with a program that will run from April 18 to May 31.

The celebrations, which blend tradition, culture, and devotion, will unfold with a detailed schedule of days and times. Events will begin on Saturday, April 18, with the reception of participants for the XVIII 'Come paint at Lledó' drawing contest in the esplanade of the Basílica del Lledó starting at 4:00 PM.
Between Tuesday, April 21, and Wednesday, April 29, the daily novena will be held at the Basílica del Lledó at 5:45 PM, followed by the Eucharistic celebration at 6:00 PM. On Sunday, April 26, there will be a novena at 10:45 AM and mass at 11:00 AM.
On Monday, April 27, the Teatro Principal will host the XLII 'Flor Natural Mare de Déu del Lledó' Literary Contest at 7:30 PM, featuring Rosa María Vidal Monferrer as the maintainer and a musical performance by the Innuendo Choir, directed by Ricardo Macho Bese. Admission will be free with a ticket. On Wednesday, April 29, the Auditorium and Congress Palace of Castellón will be the venue for the XVIII 'Cantate Mariae' Marian Music Cycle at 7:30 PM, performed by the Castellón Municipal Band, directed by José Vicente Ramón Segarra, also with free admission.
The central events will begin on Thursday, April 30, with a popular 'dansà' in the Plaza Mayor at 11:00 AM, followed by mass and a procession in Argelita at 11:30 AM. The night will culminate with a serenade to the Virgin and a fireworks display at 10:30 PM.
On Saturday, May 2, the city will experience the announcing parade at 11:00 AM, starting from Forn del Pla and passing through several central streets. At 11:30 AM, there will be a festive bell ringing, and at 12:00 PM, the Angelus and general bell ringing. The afternoon will include a rosary and Eucharist at the Basílica del Lledó, presided over by prior Joaquín Guillamón Alcón, with the participation of the Coral de la Asociación de Barreros de la Mare de Déu de Lledó.
On Sunday, May 3, the main day, will begin with the 'Vol de l'Albà' from the Fadrí at 8:00 AM, with the collaboration of the Gremi de Campaners de Castelló. At 11:00 AM, the solemn pontifical mass will be celebrated, presided over by the bishop. The afternoon will be marked by the transfer of the image to the main altar at 5:30 PM and the General Procession with the image of the Patron Saint of Castellón, which will travel along Avenida del Lledó. Afterwards, there will be a festive entry of the image into the Basílica, the singing of the 'Gozos' and the Popular Salve, followed by a pyrotechnic display.
The festivities will extend until May 31, with events such as the 'Repic de la Coronació' on Monday, May 4, the procession and mass in Grao on Sunday, May 10, and the children's procession on Sunday, May 31. This meticulous program will allow residents and visitors to follow each event with precise timing, reinforcing the character of the Lledó festivities as one of Castellón's most significant celebrations.
