In one of the messages, sent on October 29, 2024, the mayor of Carlet referred to the PSPV-PSOE with the expression “fdp” (for 'sons of bitches'). This message was sent at 3:56 PM on a tragic day that resulted in 230 fatalities.
Sáez was referring to the criticisms from the socialists of the Ribera Alta region regarding the management of the DANA by the then regional secretary of Emergencies, Emilio Argüeso, also under investigation in the proceedings. The PSPV-PSOE posted a message on social media reproaching the senior official for not having personally contacted them despite the situation.
“"It's false."
Pradas, who was heading to Carlet at that very moment, responded to her interlocutor. For her part, the mayor of Carlet added at 2:57 PM: “The Government delegate called me at noon.” She also stated that she herself had called the president of the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation (CHJ).
The notarial act, to which elDiario.es has had access, reflects the WhatsApp messages between the mayor of Carlet and José Manuel Cuenca, chief of staff for Carlos Mazón, and with Silvia Soria, chief of staff for Pradas.
It also includes a message sent to the provincial deputy for Firefighters, Avelino Mascarell, in which the popular mayor requested at 4:07 PM: “I urgently need firefighters due to falling electricity towers.”
