The Alzira City Council has inaugurated a feminist mural by artist Adrián Mateo, known as Dridali, at the Enric Valor Adult Education Center, as part of the campaign against gender violence.

The artwork, titled 'A lifetime deserves to live without fear', is part of the municipal campaign launched on November 25 and is included in the annual program of the council's Equality Unit.
This mural seeks to generate collective awareness about the importance of egalitarian education to eradicate all forms of violence against women and strengthen support networks. The Councillor for Equality, Amèlia Blanquer, led the inauguration ceremony.

"What is not seen is as if it did not exist."

The councillor highlighted that the mural represents an "open, necessary, and brave conversation that we cannot stop facing as a society." She added that "we are in 2026 and we are still fighting against sexist and vicarious violence. We cannot look the other way."
The location of the mural is not accidental, as it is in a daily transit area for residents, bus users to the hospital, and university students. "Precisely for this reason we chose it: because art must reach everywhere, not just those who seek it," she explained.
The mayor, Alfons Domínguez, reinforced the municipal commitment to the initiative, emphasizing that "we want to remind everyone that all people have the right to live with freedom, dignity, and without fear, regardless of their gender, age, or situation."
The project, funded by the State Pact against Gender Violence of the Ministry of Equality, is the work of Adrián Mateo (Dridali), recognized for his national and international projection in urban art. His work is characterized by hyperrealism and the expressive force of the human face, transforming public space into a place for collective reflection.
