The municipality of Utiel will host a new edition of its Tapas Route on April 17 and 18, a consolidated event that this year expands its offerings with more participating establishments and wineries, along with live music.

Organized by the Utiel City Council in collaboration with the Utiel Hospitality Association, this initiative returns after the success of previous editions, solidifying its role as a showcase for local gastronomy and wines with Utiel-Requena Designation of Origin.

"Thanks to the impulse of the city council, the involvement of the hospitality sector, and the great reception from residents and visitors, we have managed to make the Tapas Route continue to grow and become a consolidated and benchmark event in the festive and tourist agenda of the municipality."

Ricardo Gabaldón · Mayor of Utiel
This year, the gastronomic tour will feature 22 stops across bars, cafes, restaurants, and pubs in the town. They will offer tapas paired with DOP Utiel-Requena wine for 4 euros, combining traditional recipes with more innovative options.
One of the main attractions will again be the “Wine Tunnel”, held for the third consecutive year in the courtyard of Casa Alamanzón. This time, the event increases its participation to 14 wineries and, as a novelty, will feature live musical ambiance by the group Acoustic Covers.
Wine tasting sessions, with limited capacity, will take place on Friday at 8:00 PM and on Saturday in two shifts, at 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM, each lasting 60 minutes. Tickets can be purchased for 15 euros.
Live music will also be a highlight in the streets throughout the weekend. On Friday, Plaza de San Juan will host a performance by “Sonrisa Vertical”, while on Saturday, the local group “Mistelas Band” will perform in Plaza Puerta del Sol, with pop-rock and indie music repertoires.
Additionally, the Tapas Route will be complemented by the “Utiel en tu interior” tourism initiative, offering free visits to emblematic sites such as the underground wineries and museums of the municipality.
