The Valencia Provincial Council has launched conditioning works on the CV-470, a key route for communication between rural centers in the Plana de Utiel-Requena region, with an investment aimed at improving safety and connectivity.

The intervention focuses on the section connecting Las Cuevas de Utiel with the hamlet of Loberuela, in Camporrobles, and the works are expected to last approximately ten months. This project covers about six kilometers of road, between kilometer points 9+180 and 15+200, on a route that supports significant daily traffic of both cars and heavy vehicles.
The road is especially used by residents of villages and small towns, which underscores its strategic role in the interior Valencian road network. The Provincial Council has highlighted that this intervention will allow the road to be adapted to current demands, improving both safety and driving comfort.

"Having adequate infrastructure is key to guaranteeing territorial connectivity and helping to curb depopulation."

At the local level, the municipal head of Camporrobles has pointed out that the action responds to a necessary demand, as the current width of the road was insufficient and generated compromising situations, especially when trucks crossed. For his part, the municipal head of Utiel has emphasized the improvement of safety in a section with relevant traffic within the region.
The works include widening the platform to eight meters, with two three-meter lanes and one-meter shoulders, which will facilitate safer circulation. The intervention will be carried out mainly on one of the road's margins to optimize the current layout and reduce the impact of the works. In addition to widening the road, the project includes the complete renovation of the pavement and the correction of certain points of the layout with higher risks for circulation.
Another focus of the action will be the improvement of drainage, with the reinforcement of existing infrastructures and the creation of new ditches, with the aim of increasing the response capacity to intense rainfall episodes. With this intervention, the Provincial Council advances in improving communications in the Valencian interior, opting for a safer road network adapted to the current needs of the municipalities in the region.
