Vila-real was the setting for a dual solidarity and sports event on Saturday, April 18, featuring the IV Solidarity March Against Cancer and a 5K race that brought together 750 runners.

The IV Solidarity March Against Cancer, organized by the Castellón Against Cancer Association, started at 4:30 PM from the Town Hall square. Participants completed a route to the hermitage, in an atmosphere of participation and advocacy, aiming to raise awareness about the fight against this disease and collect funds for the cause.
The solidarity day concluded with a musical afternoon that reinforced the social character of the event, offering a space for coexistence and celebration after the march.
In parallel, the Vila-real Athletics Club organized the second event of the Municipal Sports Service (SME) race circuit. This 5K race started from the Estadio de la Cerámica and gathered 750 runners, establishing itself as one of the prominent events in the local sports calendar.
