Castellón will host the Charity Golf Championship on Sunday, June 21st, at the Costa de Azahar Golf Club. The event, themed “A Stroke Against Invisible Pain,” aims to raise funds for the Castellón Fibromyalgia Association (AFCAS), bringing together players from different categories for a day of sport, solidarity, and social awareness.

This initiative seeks to support AFCAS's work for individuals affected by fibromyalgia and related conditions, while also increasing visibility for a disease that affects thousands and often remains poorly understood. The councilor responsible for the area, Luciano Ferrer, highlighted "the importance of promoting activities that combine sport and social commitment. This championship is an opportunity to show that sport can also be a tool for solidarity and awareness. We want to give visibility to those living with fibromyalgia and support the important work AFCAS does in accompanying and supporting affected individuals and their families".

The president of AFCAS, Mª Dolores Pérez, expressed gratitude for the involvement of the City Council and collaborating entities, stating that "fibromyalgia is an invisible illness that profoundly impacts the lives of those who suffer from it. Initiatives like this not only help us continue our support programs but also raise societal awareness about a reality that needs greater understanding and recognition".

Participants can win prizes: first-place winners will receive vouchers worth 150 euros, second place 100 euros, and third place 50 euros, redeemable at participating retailers in Castellón.
