Villarreal B, managed by David Albelda, achieved a resounding 4-0 victory against Algeciras at the Mini Estadi, solidifying their position in the race for promotion play-offs to Segunda División.

The yellow submarine's reserve team showcased their excellent form in the crucial final stretch of the season, securing their second consecutive win and extending their unbeaten streak to six matches. From the very first minute, the team dictated the pace, opening the scoring early on.
Just two minutes into the game, Albert García, who delivered a standout performance with a goal and two assists, scored the opening goal. Although Algeciras had two clear opportunities to equalize, with a shot hitting the crossbar and post by Juanma García and another from Rastrojo going high, Villarreal B maintained their lead until halftime.
The second half was a goal-scoring spectacle for the home side. Joselillo Gaitán made it 2-0 in the 47th minute, following a play initiated by Dani Budesca. Shortly after, in the 56th minute, a pass from Albert García was converted by Ettiennee Eto’o for the third goal. The yellow onslaught culminated with the fourth goal in the 67th minute, again scored by Joselillo Gaitán, who finished another assist from Albert García. A fifth goal was denied by the post, which deflected a shot from Barry.
Next weekend, Villarreal B will face Alcorcón, currently in ninth place, on Saturday, May 11, at the Santo Domingo stadium.
