Today, Valencia Basket officially announced its third player departure for the upcoming season: captain Queralt Casas, who will not renew her contract.

Catalan player Queralt Casas will not continue with Valencia Basket next season. The club has officially announced her departure, which comes after seven seasons defending the orange jersey. Casas will not renew her contract, which expires on June 30th.
With this decision, Queralt Casas becomes one of the most important players in the club's history. She holds the records for most games played, most points scored, most steals, and most rebounds in Valencia Basket history. Additionally, she has won eleven titles during her time with the team.
Valencia Basket highlighted that Casas leaves "an indelible mark on the growth of the women's project over seven years," during which she served as captain for four. The club has thanked her for "her work, dedication, and commitment" and announced that a public farewell event will be organized in the coming weeks.
Casas arrived in Valencia in the 2019-20 season, the team's second in the top division. In her first campaign, she was named National League MVP and also Eurocup Women MVP, securing the club's first-ever title.
Queralt Casas' departure follows those already announced by Awa Fam and Leo Fiebich. It is expected that Cristina Ouviña's departure will also be confirmed in the coming hours. Meanwhile, coach Rubén Burgos' future remains uncertain, and the only confirmed reinforcement, though not yet official, is Marta Suárez.
