The Vila-real City Council has announced that, due to the impossibility of notifying the waste fee to nearly 3,000 taxpayers, it will publish the lists on its municipal website for citizens to check if they are affected.

The Vila-real consistory has communicated that, despite repeated attempts to notify taxpayers of the waste fee, in some cases it has not been possible to carry out personal notification at the corresponding address. This situation affects nearly 3,000 files.
In accordance with current regulations, municipal technical services processed the publication of these files in the Official State Gazette (BOE), specifically in issues 52 and 58. The regulations establish that, in these cases of unfulfilled notification, a 5% surcharge will be applied to the amount of the receipt.
However, affected individuals who go to the Treasury Department, located at Josep Ramon Batalla Street, 6, to collect their notification, presenting their DNI in the case of a natural person or their CIF in the case of a legal entity, will not have to carry out any additional procedures. If the delivery of the notification is not completed, a 20% surcharge will be applied, along with the corresponding enforcement and seizure procedures.
The government team has recalled that the consistory has acted with sensitivity in the implementation of the waste fee, enabling a period of nearly two months for citizens to process bonuses. The current objective is to prevent residents from having to bear costs higher than strictly necessary.
Finally, the City Council will make the complete lists public in the news section of its municipal website, so that citizens can easily check if they are among the affected files and take appropriate measures.
