The city of Vila-real is organizing the II Health Week from April 20 to 25, an initiative by the City Council and the La Plana Health Department to promote prevention and integral well-being among the population.

This second edition, presented by the Councillor for Health, Toni Marín, and the coordinator of the Dolores Cano Royo Health Center and president of the Health Council, Luisa Escalante, consolidates a joint proposal to bring health promotion closer to residents of all ages. The program focuses on three main axes: mental health, physical exercise, and healthy eating.
The program includes talks, workshops, and informative activities in various city spaces, addressing topics such as disease prevention, addictions, and emotional well-being. Participatory activities for families and practical sessions have been organized, with the aim of fostering active involvement of the population in caring for their own health and offering useful tools for daily life.

"Health is not just the absence of illness, but a physical, mental, and social balance that must be cared for every day."

The City Council has highlighted its commitment to health prevention, as well as other recent initiatives in this area, such as pilot studies in socio-health sector companies and future institutional actions for health protection, including a motion to limit the consumption of energy drinks by minors.
The II Health Week of Vila-real will conclude on Saturday, April 25, with an open day in the Plaza Mayor, where recreational and informative activities will be held to promote healthy habits in an accessible and participatory environment. The organization has thanked the involvement of health and technical staff, such as nurses Irene Llop, Cristian Veses, and Paula Martínez, and the institutional support that has made the program possible.
