Vila-real Celebrates Festa per la Llengua with a Day Full of Cultural Activities

Escola Valenciana's initiative, with municipal support, filled the streets of Vila-real with music, dances, and workshops for all ages.

Vila-real has hosted a new edition of the Festa per la Llengua, a festive and commemorative day organized by Escola Valenciana with the collaboration of the Department of Linguistic Normalization, which has promoted the Valencian language and popular culture.

The program began at 10:30 AM with a lively parade led by El Trull, the Colla Gegantera de Vila-real, and Botafocs, which toured several streets of the municipality. Subsequently, at 11:00 AM, the Grup de Danses la Puríssima offered an exhibition of traditional dances.
At 11:15 AM, the official inauguration ceremony of the Festa per la Llengua took place, which also included the awards ceremony for the drawing and logo contest. During this period, other parallel activities were held, such as a radio workshop by Ràdio Espai Jove and various traditional games aimed at families.
The program continued at 12:00 PM with a concert by the group Canta Canalla, as well as the broadcast of the podcast El dolcet pal café at the Fundació Caixa Rural. In the final stretch of the morning, at 1:00 PM, the performance of the Conlloga Muixeranga de Castelló was held.
The morning's activities concluded at 1:45 PM with a pub crawl enlivened by the brass band Vakalenta, which marked the end of the scheduled events until midday, solidifying the festival as a benchmark for the promotion of the Valencian language and culture.
