More than thirty residents from Avenida Mediterrània in Burriana met with Mayor Jorge Monferrer to present various demands concerning the urban situation, Coastal permits, and public service improvements.

The meeting, part of the municipal initiative "Con mis vecinos" (With my neighbors), also included the participation of the Urban Planning Councilor, Mario Trullen, and served to gather proposals on the issues affecting the municipality's maritime area.
One of the main concerns for residents is the delimitation of the public maritime-terrestrial domain. They requested the City Council to urge the Directorate General of Coasts to review the current boundary line, as they believe it conditions actions on numerous frontline properties. They also expressed concern over delays in granting authorizations for reforms and maintenance work on properties affected by Coastal regulations, including basic repairs like balconies or structural elements.
During the meeting, public space maintenance issues were also addressed. Among the residents' requests are the repainting of the bike lane between Juan Carlos I Avenue and El Grao, improving the road surface in parking areas, reinforcing cleaning services, and enhancing pest control. Attendees also called for continuous attention to the needs of the maritime environment, especially during peak visitor months.
Mayor Jorge Monferrer informed the residents that the council will analyze all the proposals presented. He also updated them on the ongoing conditioning work at El Grao's beaches for the summer season, following actions by the competent coastal authority.
The "Con mis vecinos" initiative is a series of periodic meetings promoted by the Burriana City Council to directly understand residents' demands, identify issues, and collect proposals for municipal management.
