Both Valencian clubs are in a strong position for the decisive phase. Valencia CF, known as the black and white team, will play the second leg of all their ties at their home stadium, the Antonio Puchades. Meanwhile, Villarreal CF Women, the 'groguetes', have a high probability of also playing the second leg of their semi-finals at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, in Vila-real.
The Valencianistas secured first place in the promotion phase after a convincing 4-1 victory over Atlético de Madrid B on matchday 24. Villarreal CF Women, for their part, can secure second place if they win one of their remaining matches or if Osasuna fails to collect all six possible points.
The promotion play-off will determine which team will join Alavés in the top national women's football league. If current standings hold, Valencia CF and Villarreal CF Women could only face each other in a hypothetical final, avoiding each other in earlier rounds.
In a less favorable situation is Levante UD Women, whose chances of staying in the category are complicated. The 'granota' team is six points behind Dux Logroño, which marks the safety zone, after a 0-1 defeat against Athletic Club in added time. The Levante players need to win at least two of their five remaining Liga F matches to have any hope of achieving salvation.
