The Civil Guard has arrested two women, aged 36 and 57, as alleged perpetrators of the theft of 3,000 kilograms of oranges from an agricultural farm in Alquerías del Niño Perdido, in the province of Castellón.

The events occurred in early April, when the farm owner caught the suspects loading the fruit into a van. Upon being discovered, both fled the scene, leaving behind several sacks of merchandise and various baskets used for harvesting.
After assessing the extent of the incident, the farm owner confirmed the theft of approximately 3,000 kilograms of Lane Late oranges, with an estimated market value of 1,200 euros.
The investigation was taken over by the ROCA Team of Burriana, specialized in rural thefts. During the inquiries, agents discovered that the alleged perpetrators collected the fruit from the inner part of the plot to avoid being seen from outside, hiding among the trees to hinder detection by guards and owners.
The operation was carried out in collaboration with the National Police of Vila-real, which allowed for the full identification of the two suspects and their eventual arrest for an alleged crime of citrus theft. The proceedings have already been forwarded to the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of Instance of Nules.
