The spectacle, musically directed by Rafa Grau and chorally by Carles Ramón, marked the end of ten days of festive programming. The festival committee, in collaboration with the musical entity, aimed to give greater cultural weight to the closing, highlighting local talent.
The Schola Cantorum made an extraordinary effort to respond to this invitation, which included the participation of the symphonic band and the polyphonic and children's choirs. In total, more than 70 musicians and 120 voices took to the stage of the Auditori, with soloists such as M. José González, Sara López, Rafa Quirant, and Fran García.
“"We have focused on the rhythmic and expressive force of the work, as well as the power of large choral masses, with the uniqueness of a performance with a symphonic band."
A notable aspect of the performance was the translation and adaptation of the work into Valencian, respecting its meaning, meter, and rhyme. The entity argues that this is the surest way to convey the message of the words. Additionally, the concert incorporated subtitles to enhance text comprehension during the performance.
The effort was widely recognized by the audience, who gave a standing ovation at the end of the show. The Sant Vicent festivities were characterized by high participation in all events, including the Fair, the bull-running days, and the gastronomic gatherings for caldereta and empedrao, as well as the religious acts concentrated between April 12 and 13.
