The Onda City Council inaugurated this Monday the collective art exhibition 'EstART units. Museums don't have borders, they have networks', promoted on the occasion of the International Museum Day.

The installation, which can be visited until May 31st at the Manolo Safont Tile Museum (Museu del Taulell), gathers creations made by over 400 secondary school students from all educational centers in the town, along with users from CO El Molí and IES Vila-roja in Almassora. The exhibition commemorates the international event promoted by ICOM (International Council of Museums) under the theme 'Museums Uniting a Divided World'.
The Councilor for Innovation, Vicent Bou, highlighted the educational, participatory, and social nature of the initiative, emphasizing that the Tile Museum "once again demonstrates that culture is a tool for connecting generations, fostering reflection, and uniting societies." He added that the exhibition "reflects how young people use art to express concerns, analyze the world around them, and build messages of coexistence".
ICOM's theme served as a starting point for participating students to develop artistic projects linked to contemporary challenges such as war conflicts, climate change, new technologies and artificial intelligence, or social and religious tensions. Through various disciplines, students have reflected on the fragility of international relations and the need to build more cohesive societies.
The 'EstART units' installation transforms the Tile Museum into a diverse and collaborative artistic journey, where ceramics, as an identity element of Onda, once again plays a leading role. Additionally, the museum has prepared a new edition of 'Ceramics Saturdays' for Saturday, May 23rd.
The initiative was coordinated by the Tile Museum along with the participating educational centers' teaching staff. As a novelty, this edition includes the participation of IES Vila-roja in Almassora with an invited artistic piece, expanding the collaborative dimension. The works created by users of CO El Molí reinforce the inclusive nature of the exhibition.
