The central message is to put away screens to discover what happens outside, connecting with current leisure time consumption.
The mayor of Onda, Carmina Ballester, emphasized that the campaign "is an invitation to experience Onda with all five senses." She added that they want visitors to "have experiences, disconnect from screens, and discover everything that makes our city special," going beyond just a photograph.
The video tells the story of a young woman engrossed in her mobile phone who, while visiting Onda's emblematic sites, fails to appreciate her surroundings. An unexpected incident makes her stop, put away her phone, and discover the municipality's beauty, showcasing landscapes like the Castle of the 300 Towers, the medieval old town, the Almudín square, the Sichar reservoir, or the Espadán mountain range.
This initiative is part of the summer's tourist and cultural programming, which includes concerts, such as Ana Torroja on Friday, July 31st, theatricalized visits to the Castle and historic center, nature routes, and traditional events like the Santíssim Salvador festivities or Onda Medieval.
Through this campaign, the City Council aims to strengthen Onda's tourism promotion as a year-round reference destination, appealing to emotions and showcasing an authentic city full of experiences.
