The Nules City Council has received the donation of the Olympic medal and diploma from a local professional cyclist, the only resident of the municipality to have participated in the Olympic Games.

The donation, which will last for ten years and is renewable by agreement, is the result of a family decision. The medal and diploma will be permanently exhibited in the Enrique Giner Medallion Museum, a recognized space in the municipality.

"Together with my family, my wife and my children, we decided that the medal should be in the best medal museum in Spain and Europe, and that it is also in our municipality. I want experts in numismatics and anyone to be able to see an Olympic medal up close."

A municipal spokesperson has announced that both the medal and the diploma will be displayed in a themed showcase. This showcase will not only narrate the athlete's achievement but also detail the composition and technical data of the medal, offering a complete experience to visitors.
The mayor of Nules highlighted the altruistic gesture of the family in donating the medal to the municipality. He expressed the pride it represents for the town to be able to safeguard this Olympic symbol and allow all residents and visitors to enjoy it.
