The event, held at the José Vicente Felip Monlleó Municipal Library, unveiled the awarded piece, which went to Mercé Estrela Tena for her work titled Jo am. This recognition is the most prestigious of the literary contest, including a prize of 4,000 euros and the publication of the work.
The author herself was the protagonist of the day, reading excerpts from her creation to the attending public. The presentation was attended by municipal representatives, jury members, and sponsors of the awards.
“"The jury considered that the presentation of the winning work of the Flor Natural should have its own prominence, and what better way to do it than at the Nules Book Fair."
Furthermore, the event served to announce the rules for the next edition of the contest, reinforcing the role of this cultural initiative in the local program. The presentation of the winning book was incorporated into the Book Fair last year to give it greater visibility and make it more accessible to the public.
The awarded author, originally from Catarroja, has dedicated her professional career to teaching Valencian and, after her retirement, has focused on writing. She has an extensive production in both poetry and narrative, and has received numerous awards in various literary contests.
