The town of La Vall d'Uixó has experienced the grand day of its Sant Vicent Ferrer patron saint festivities, marking the halfway point of the program with a massive procession and a Fair that has attracted a large number of visitors.

The Sant Vicent patron saint festivities in La Vall d'Uixó have reached their midpoint with a day of great activity. Although the religious acts, with the procession as the central element, are the heart of the celebration, the Fair has gained special prominence, filling the streets with people and enjoying good weather.
After a Sunday marred by rain, Monday offered the best of spring weather, encouraging residents and visitors to go out. From mid-morning, the fairgrounds have been busy, and the influx of public has multiplied in the afternoon, as the end of the festive day approached.
Of the two religious events of the day, the first was a participatory mass in the placeta de Sant Vicent, in front of the hermitage. However, the procession is the one with the greatest emotional connotation, bringing together entire families by tradition. Queen Anna Clavell closed the procession, a few meters before the float that several members of the committee carry on their shoulders the image of the patron saint, to the rhythm set by the Ateneu Musical Schola Cantorum band. These rites are repeated year after year, with absences that are missed and new generations of 'valleros' and 'valleras' taking over, ensuring the survival of these moments.

"They are not isolated or anecdotal events; our patron saint festivities are an attraction, they encourage people to go out into the streets and to , but they also attract people from other municipalities, with all that this mobility entails from a social and economic point of view."

Tania Baños · Mayor of La Vall d'Uixó
This intense day marks a pause in the program, which still has much to offer until next Sunday, when the festivities will officially end. On Wednesday and Saturday, bullfighting events will return to the streets, with eight exhibitions pending in total, and the popular 'empedrao' will also be celebrated, among other proposals.
The mayor, Tania Baños, highlighted the relevance of the festivities for the city, emphasizing that they are an attraction that draws both residents and visitors from other municipalities, generating a significant social and economic impact. For this reason, she thanked the festival committee for their effort in organizing all the events, especially events like the fair, which require so much work and have such an important impact.
