The La Llosa City Council has initiated a daily cardboard waste collection service for bars and shops, aiming to reduce costs for residents and boost recycling efforts in the municipality.

This measure, presented at the III Municipalism Forum, seeks to address the issue of overflowing containers in areas with a high concentration of businesses. The initiative allows the council to directly manage the collection of cardboard from all companies, shops, bars, and restaurants in the town, preventing it from reaching the treatment plant and ensuring its recycling.

"We must have ideas that mean a lower cost for the resident and signify an improvement in service."

Thanks to this action, containers that previously filled daily now do so every three days, representing a significant improvement in waste management. This initiative is part of municipal policies to promote recycling and offer a more efficient service to citizens.
In addition to cardboard collection, the council has also opted for the switch to LED lighting in public streetlights. These actions reflect the local administration's commitment to implementing solutions that directly benefit residents, both economically and in the quality of public services.
