The IES Francesc Tàrrega reading club in Vila-real will hold a new session on Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 PM, dedicated to Jordi Colonques' novel Carnívora.

The meeting will revolve around the work Carnívora, which has generated great interest due to its originality and narrative power. This novel has been awarded the XXX Enric Valor Prize for Novel in Valencian, solidifying the author's career.
The activity will feature the presence of Jordi Colonques, who will share impressions, anecdotes, and key insights into his creation with attendees. The discussion will be open to all participants, whether or not they are students of the center, offering a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the reading and interact directly with the Vila-real author.
The event will take place in the library of IES Francesc Tàrrega, the usual meeting place for the reading club. The presentation and moderation of the event will be led by the writer from Vila-real, Vicent Usó, who will guide the debate and encourage participation from attendees.
This event is part of the Punt de trobada series, an initiative promoted by the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana (AELC) in collaboration with various cultural entities. Thanks to this cycle, readers in Vila-real previously enjoyed a visit from writer Toni Cucarella a few months ago in a session held at the Socarrats cultural association's reading club, where they discussed the work Qui de casa se'n va, awarded the Premi de la Crítica dels Escriptors Valencians 2025.
Furthermore, Colonques has already announced that on May 6, he will participate in the València Book Fair, where he will sign copies of Carnívora and his other published works.
