The municipal group Compromís for Almenara has successfully incorporated into the agreement with PSPV-PSOE a commitment to promote the planning and construction of a new public school in the municipality.

The nationalist party has agreed with PSPV-PSOE to support the motion in defense of Valencian public education, which includes the demand for a new educational center to address the overcrowding at CEIP L’Ereta and anticipated demographic growth. The spokesperson for Compromís per Almenara, Quique Castelló, highlighted that the agreement “represents a fundamental step to guarantee that the children of Almenara have the educational infrastructure they deserve,” and pointed out that “for too long necessary investments have been postponed while CEIP L’Ereta has had to face an evident situation of overcrowding”.
The motion calls on the competent administrations to plan a new public school capable of meeting the present and future needs of the student body and teaching staff. The current situation at CEIP L’Ereta, where a lack of space has forced the conversion of specific classrooms into multipurpose areas, highlights the need for investment and long-term planning. According to the Valencianist spokesperson, “Compromís has worked to make the construction of a new school a political priority and a shared institutional demand”.
In addition to the new school, the motion requests the unblocking of pending actions from the Edificant Plan at IES Almenara, the promotion of public Vocational Training in the municipality, and an increase in educational investments. The agreement also includes support for Valencian teachers, the defense of public and Valencian-language education, the reduction of class sizes, the improvement of teaching staff, and the reinforcement of resources for educational inclusion. Castelló emphasized that “public education is an investment in the future” and argued that “the Generalitat must assume its responsibility”.
