“"Maintaining this type of activity after three decades of success demonstrates the interest and importance of access to culture for our schoolchildren. It is fundamental that the youngest children feel the library as their own welcoming space, where in addition to learning, they can discover the pleasure of reading as another tool for their personal development."

The Burriana Municipal Library has organized guided tours for nearly 1,000 Primary school students, aiming to promote reading and familiarize young children with its facilities.
During the weeks of April 14th and 20th, the Burriana Municipal Library welcomed approximately 1,000 children from 1st and 2nd grade Primary school from all educational centers in the city. This activity, which has been continuously organized for over 30 years in collaboration with local schools, is part of the celebration of Book Day.
The main objective of these sessions is for all children in the capital of La Plana Baixa to become familiar with their library's facilities and understand its operations from an early age. During the visits, library staff provide a presentation on the organization of the rooms, the steps required to obtain a membership card, and how the lending system works.
To make the experience more dynamic, professional animations related to the world of literature have been included, turning the learning into an attractive and fun activity for the little ones. In addition to these actions, on April 23rd, coinciding with Book Day, a special guided tour open to the public was held, delving into the institution's history and offering access to the archives to explore the ancient and local collections.
