The Burriana City Council, through its Tourism Department, has scheduled the 'Modernist Weekend' for June 13th and 14th, an initiative to showcase the historical, artistic, and architectural heritage of the capital of La Plana Baixa.

Under the slogan “Art, history, heritage, and flavor,” the event will offer a total of five unique activities allowing attendees to dynamically and participatively discover the beauty of the municipality's main modernist resources.
The program will kick off on Saturday, June 13th, at 11:00 AM with the Modernist Illustration Workshop, led by Burriana-based illustrator Pedro Cifuentes at the modernist building number 4 on San Vicente street. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, the Plaza Mayor will be the meeting point for a Modernist Gastronomy Workshop exclusively for adults, featuring a tasting and show cooking of a modernist-inspired sweet tapa, with volunteer participation in its preparation.
On Sunday, June 14th, activities will begin in the morning with two guided tours of the modernist facades, scheduled for 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM, starting from the Plaza Mayor. This route will explore the architecture, natural elements, and ornamentation of local buildings; additionally, all participants who complete the tour will receive an exclusive tote bag featuring an image of one of the city's modernist buildings. The event will conclude with the Modernist Photography Workshop at 6:00 PM, focused on learning to capture the details and essence of Burriana's emblematic buildings.
All individuals interested in attending the various activities of the Modernist Weekend must reserve their spot in advance by registering through the council's official website: visitesguiades.burriana.es.
Regarding the event, the Councilor for Tourism, Noelia Peris, stated that “this Modernist Weekend is a magnificent opportunity for both residents and visitors to reconnect with the historical legacy and architectural richness that defines the identity of Burriana.” She also noted that “with these five unique activities, we have sought a dynamic proposal that fuses art, photography, and gastronomy, inviting everyone to register and enjoy a complete cultural experience in our municipality.”
