The Department of Festivities of the Burriana City Council has released the rules for the competition to choose the official poster for the 2026 Misericordia Festivities, aiming for an image that promotes the patron saint celebrations.

The objective of this call is to select the graphic image that the city council of the capital of La Plana Baixa will edit and distribute to promote its festivities. Participants are free to choose the theme, provided it is representative and related to the Misericordia Festivities.
However, the rules stipulate mandatory requirements for lettering and composition. The works must include the legend "FESTES DE LA MISERICÒRDIA 2026. BURRIANA", an image or allegory of the Virgin of Mercy, the official city shield, and, as a major novelty this year, a reference to the 50th anniversary of the Bull Commission.

"This competition is an opportunity for artists from anywhere in the world to capture the essence of our patron saint festivities, uniting tradition, creativity, and talent. This year we include a special recognition of the 50th anniversary of the Bull Commission, an event that pays tribute to Burriana's bullfighting roots and the altruistic work of all its members, which must be reflected in the image announcing our celebrations."

The jury, which will be chaired by the Festivities councillor and composed of design and fine arts professionals, will evaluate criteria such as originality, visual impact, graphic quality, and advertising effectiveness.
