This new cycle, which will run throughout the month of April, aims to motivate students and enhance their learning abilities. The Culture Councilor, Alejandro Clausell, highlighted the importance of offering new opportunities for student training. For her part, Ana Llopis, director of the center, explained that the program complements the training received in the classroom.
Activities will begin on April 15 with a visit to the Professional Dance Conservatory of Castellón for students of Elementary Dance Training. The objective is for them to learn about the facilities and the functioning of professional dance training, attending scheduled classes and rehearsals.
On the weekend of April 18 and 19, the cycle will continue with masterclasses in Spanish Dance taught by dancers and choreographers Alejandro Molinero and Mar López. Molinero, former dancer of the National Ballet of Spain, will offer sessions on Stylized Dance and Spanish Dance technique. Mar López, from the Professional Dance Conservatory Comandante Fortea of Madrid, will teach classes on Spanish Dance technique and Escuela Bolera. There will also be a flamenco class for adults. These classes are free for students of the center and open to external participants with payment of the corresponding fee.
On April 22, the Classical Dance students from the Burriana center will have an afternoon of coexistence with students from the Professional Dance Conservatory of Valencia, led by professor África Hernández. After the class, they will share experiences about their activity.
The cycle will culminate on April 29, International Dance Day, with a performance in the Plaza de la Merced, which will be transformed into an open-air amphitheater. Various dance numbers will be performed, and the manifesto for International Dance Day, created by Canadian choreographer Crystal Pite, which highlights dance as a universal language, will be read.
