The initiative, promoted by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), seeks to highlight the role of museums as spaces for conservation and education. During the weekend, the center in Burriana will open its doors to bring historical heritage closer to all citizens.
On Friday, May 15, activities will begin at 11:00 AM with a guided tour, while open house hours will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. On Saturday, May 16, the museum will maintain the same schedule with a new guided tour at 10:30 AM. Finally, on Sunday, May 17, the space will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
As a notable novelty, visitors will be able to watch a new audiovisual about the coexistence of the three cultures in medieval Burriana. This proposal aligns with this year's theme, Museums for Education and Research, reinforcing the museum's role as a cultural meeting point.
“"This festivity is the perfect opportunity to open the doors of our heritage and invite citizens to rediscover the history of Burriana in an enjoyable and didactic way."
To participate in the guided tours, prior registration is required by sending an email to the museum's official address.
