Betxí City Council has begun this week the demolition of the old municipal fronton located on Sant Josep Obrer Avenue, a key action for the comprehensive transformation of this public space.

The demolition works mark a visible milestone in the urban renewal project that seeks to provide the municipality with a more functional facility. The future venue will be covered and designed to host a wide variety of sports, social, and festive activities throughout the year.

"After many years of demands, the town can now see how this project is moving forward definitively. The new space will completely transform a facility that had fallen behind regarding the neighborhood's needs."

The total investment for this work exceeds 1.6 million euros. The contract, awarded to the company Civicons Construcciones Públicas, includes not only the expansion of the surface area but also the improvement of acoustic insulation, climate comfort, and the creation of adapted access for all citizens.
With this intervention, the local government aims to modernize local sports facilities, ensuring that the new equipment can effectively respond to the current demands of the population and significantly improving the quality of the services offered.
