The Burriana City Council, through its Social Services department, has launched the 'Let's Talk About...' family workshop series to provide families with practical tools for communication and language stimulation in early childhood.

The first session, led by CDIAP Burriana at the municipal building, brought together numerous families and caregivers, aiming to guide them on how to foster language development from the home environment.
During the session, professionals emphasized the importance of family involvement in child development. Attendees gained resources to integrate into daily routines, transforming everyday actions into learning opportunities, strengthening emotional bonds, and increasing children's emotional security.
The workshop covered key aspects such as stimulating speech through play, stories, and songs, as well as strategies to improve comprehension and expand vocabulary. Guidelines were also provided for managing frustration in the face of communication difficulties and fostering basic social skills, such as turn-taking.

"It is fundamental to offer spaces where families, teachers, and students can resolve doubts and improve their daily lives. The council maintains its commitment to bringing professional resources to homes to ensure a healthy and happy development for children."

Isabel Monfort · Councillor for Social Services
The 'Let's Talk About...' series will continue on April 20 at 3:00 PM with the session 'Knowing Their Times'. This meeting will be aimed at families and professionals working with children aged 0 to 3 years, delving into developmental rhythms and helping to identify potential warning signs, such as absence of speech, sleep problems, or intense tantrums, and knowing when to seek specialist help.
