The presentation, held today at the bullring, was attended by numerous municipal representatives and stakeholders involved in the festivities. Mayor José Ramiro and Festival Councilor Miguel Gomis highlighted the participatory and intergenerational nature of the festivals, aiming to break routine and bring the community together.
This year, the separation of the 'Dia de les Quintades' (Day of the Drafted Cohorts) is consolidated, with a children's day on Friday, July 24th, and a day for adults on Saturday, July 25th, Sant Jaume's Day. The 2026 Quintà, named “Fanecaes” and represented by Lorena Gil and Pepe Lucas, will kick off the events.
Security will be enhanced with double the staff from the Local Police and support from Civil Protection, ensuring 24-hour service. The program includes activities for all ages, from children's parks and water shows to bullfights, evening dances, and the Rock&Moll cycle, celebrating its tenth anniversary.
The bullfighting events feature novelties such as an entry with steers and horses, as well as contests for young 'recortadores' (bull-dodgers). Music will play a prominent role with large evening dances, mobile discos, and the 'Nit de Rock' (Rock Night), which will bring together bands from various origins. The 'Moatros i avant' club is organizing a humorous rally with a Nintendo theme.
The Union of Pensioners is increasing its program with three events, and Equality Councilor Raquel Mengual has called for festivals marked by respect and tolerance, emphasizing the positive economic impact of the celebrations.
The festivities will extend to Pamis with popular dinners, music, and traditional events, including a pilgrimage. The cover of the festival program, created by Laura Zaragoza, symbolizes the popular essence of Sant Jaume.
