Safont and Sanz Triumph in Benicàssim Half Marathon with 2,500 Participants

The Benicàssim Half Marathon was successfully held last Sunday, gathering nearly 2,500 runners across its two modalities, thus consolidating its return after years of absence.

The sporting event transformed the coastline of Benicàssim into a grand showcase for running, featuring a festive atmosphere and massive participation. Despite an initially overcast sky, weather conditions were ideal, with no wind or excessive heat, factors highly appreciated by the participants.
In the main distance, the Half Marathon, Nacho Safont crossed the finish line first with a time of 1:08:38, followed by David Palomera and Edgar Jose Pérez. In the women's category, Mariló Sanz, from the Benicàssim Sky Runners club, was the winner with 1:22:29, ahead of Sara Forné and Isabel Solsona.
Regarding the 10K race, Iván Muñoz was the fastest in the men's category with 33:23, while Nuria Conejos dominated the women's race with 38:18. The event stood out for its organization and the beauty of its coastal route, considered one of the most attractive nationally.
