A glitch in the Renta Web program is preventing the application of the latest tax deductions approved by the Valencian Government, affecting taxpayers in Castellón and drawing political criticism.

The start of the Income Tax Campaign has been marked by a technical incident in the Renta Web program, making it impossible to apply the most recent tax deductions approved by the Valencian Government. This situation directly affects taxpayers in Castellón who wish to include benefits related to the promotion of music, as well as health and sports expenses.
The Ministry of Finance explained that the state program did not incorporate these new features in time for the start of the 2025 campaign. However, they assured that the Tax Agency is actively working to make these fields available as soon as possible, allowing for their selection without issues.

The Tax Agency is already working to ensure these fields are available «as soon as possible» and can be selected without problems.

The AEAT has already reported this circumstance both in the income tax manual and within the program itself. Therefore, the current recommendation for taxpayers who wish to benefit from these deductions is to wait a few days before submitting their declaration. Once the problem is resolved, the 'Other deductions' field will be enabled for new measures, such as music promotion, and the calculations for modified deductions will be updated, especially those linked to the expansion of income levels for socio-health and sports benefits.
The Ministry of Finance emphasized that this incident is not exclusive to the Valencian Community, as the Tax Agency has reported similar problems in other autonomous communities, such as Castilla-La Mancha, where new deductions and modifications to existing ones have also been introduced.
This situation has generated political reactions. The PSPV criticized the Consell, chaired by Juanfran Pérez Llorca, for its «great haste» in announcing the deductions without ensuring their effective application from the start of the campaign. The socialist spokesperson, José Muñoz, linked this fact to the «chaos» that, in his opinion, has already been observed in other services of the Generalitat. In contrast, the PP spokesperson, Nando Pastor, downplayed the severity of the problem, assuring that it will be resolved «in a matter of hours» and that «one million Valencians» will ultimately benefit from these deductions.
