The Imaginària 2026 photography festival returns to the province of Castellón with an edition that transforms various cultural spaces into an open visual route, offering exhibitions, workshops, and gatherings from May 7 to June 28.

This photographic event will take place in municipalities such as Castelló de la Plana, Benicàssim, Segorbe, and Vilafranca, aiming to bring contemporary photography to the public not only as an exhibition but as an experience spread across the territory. The program includes guided tours, workshops, dialogues with creators, and participatory meetings.
The activities kick off at the Llotja del Cànem in the capital of La Plana with the official inauguration and the opening of the exhibition Habitario. Tiempo despacio. The tour in Castellón continues at the Espai Cultural Obert Les Aules, where Background will be on display, and at the Menador espai cultural, which hosts two exhibitions: Las conseguidoras and I don’t know who.
Beyond the capital, the festival extends its presence. In Benicàssim, the Centre Cultural Melchor Zapata will showcase Kiss. In Segorbe, the Casa Garcerán will be the setting for Intervalos de sombra. And in Vilafranca, the Gothic halls of the Town Hall will host Vilafranca Club Collage.

"Imaginària is not limited to simply hanging exhibitions. The festival proposes looking at images together, discussing them, and understanding how visual narratives are constructed."

Among the most participatory activities is Pollastre Night, a gathering of photographic groups that will take place on June 6 at Les Aules, conceived as a festive evening centered around unexpected images. The festival thus reinforces its role as one of the most relevant visual events in Castellón.
