The Ministry of Health has planned the opening of eight auxiliary beach clinics and the reinforcement of 19 health centers in the province of Castellón, as part of the summer assistance plan, with a total budget of 85.2 million euros for the entire Valencia Region.

The summer program by the Ministry of Health includes the opening of 25 auxiliary clinics and the reinforcement of 74 healthcare centers region-wide. The initiative also foresees a 4.8% increase in hospital bed capacity compared to the previous summer, maintaining all conventional beds in hospitals located in tourist areas.
The Minister of Health, Marciano Gómez, highlighted the significant budgetary effort, with 2.7 million euros more than last year and nearly 13 million euros more compared to the previous legislature's plan. In the province of Castellón, clinics will open in Benicàssim Atlanta, Benicàssim-Vila-real, Oropesa-La Concha, Oropesa-La Marina, Almassora La Torre, Torreblanca-Torrenostra, Playa de Nules, and La Marjalería (Grao de Castellón).
These resources are in addition to existing ones to strengthen healthcare in 19 health centers across the province, including locations such as Alcossebre, Peñíscola, Benicarló, Vinaròs, Atzeneta, Albocàsser, l’Alcora, Almassora, Almassora Barranquet, Benlloch, Borriol, Grao de Castellón, Vall d’Alba, Vilafranca, Torreblanca, Grao de Burriana, Moncofa, Nules, and Montanejos.
Regionally, 12 auxiliary clinics will open in Valencia (such as El Puig Playa, Puçol Playa, Sueca-Palmeretes) and five in Alicante (such as Calp La Fossa, Jávea Arenal). The Ministry will also reinforce 25 health centers in Valencia and 30 in Alicante, in addition to the 19 in Castellón, with additional hiring to enhance Primary Care.
Approximately 9,000 hires are anticipated, contingent on professional availability, for reinforcements and substitutions during the vacation period (July-September). Minister Gómez emphasized the commitment to serve both residents and visitors, while respecting healthcare professionals' right to their vacation time.
In acute hospitals, surgical activity will be maintained at maximum operational capacity. The planning for conventional hospitalization will be less restrictive, with an increase in beds of 0.5% in July, 3.65% in August, and 12.62% in September, without affecting hospitals in high-tourism areas. Emergency services in coastal areas will be reinforced as needed.
