Compromís per Castelló has expressed concern over the lack of action by Begoña Carrasco's government regarding irregularities detected in the Municipal Band's selection processes, which necessitated repeating part of the procedure.

The coalition has warned that the local executive has not opened any informational files or demanded accountability, considering it

unacceptable that, despite the seriousness of the facts, the City Council has not acted to clarify what happened.

The irregularities occurred in the stabilization processes for clarinet and French horn positions, where two tribunal members scored tests they had not attended, and the anonymity of the candidates was not respected. Following complaints, part of the selection process was repeated with a new, guaranteed tribunal, and the results were different, favoring those who had initially received lower scores.

and advocated for the need to open an investigation and assign responsibilities. The coalition criticizes that Carrasco's government has not only failed to act but has continued to endorse the management of the deputy director, who presided over the tribunals involved in these processes.
Compromís frames this situation within a broader context of mismanagement within the Municipal Band, marked by a poor working environment and decisions that have generated discomfort among musicians. They recall episodes such as those experienced during Magdalena, when professionals had to parade and play in the rain, with consequences for their instruments and under conditions they consider unacceptable.
For all these reasons, the coalition has urged the Partido Popular to act responsibly, open an informational file, and ensure that such situations do not recur, with the aim of restoring confidence in the processes and ensuring the proper functioning of the Castelló Municipal Band.
