The Nit de l'Art de Castelló celebrates its eighteenth edition on May 8th and 9th, transforming the city into a hub of contemporary creation with over 130 artistic proposals spread across 80 venues.

Organized by the Asociación de Arte Contemporáneo de Castellón, this cultural event solidifies its growth with an open, free, and multidisciplinary model. For 48 hours, streets, squares, studios, and unconventional cultural spaces will host a wide variety of artistic expressions, including dance, theater, performances, poetry, music, circus, workshops, guided tours, installations, and exhibitions.
This year's program, presented alongside the official poster for the 18th edition, stands out for its scale and ability to connect with diverse contexts. The event's director, Yvonne Bacas, highlighted the international reach of the Nit de l'Art, which has received nearly 700 proposals from 21 different countries.

"Reaching 18 editions confirms the solidity of an event that has managed to grow from local to global without losing its essence. The Nit de l'Art is today an essential event that positions Castellón as a cultural benchmark and ratifies the city's commitment to first-class culture."

This 2026 edition will expand its circuit with new additions that reinforce the idea of the city as an active stage. New spaces include the Auditorium and Congress Palace, the Central Market, the Ribalta Park Bandstand, and Hernán Cortés Square. El Grau will play a prominent role as the festival's starting point, with the inaugural event on Friday, May 8th at 5:00 PM at the Edificio Moruno, featuring the dance performance Colores and the collective exhibition Art a la Mar.
The program includes nearly 50 exhibitions, five installations, 17 performances, nine workshops, four musical parades, fashion shows, recitals, concerts, and children's activities. Large-format proposals, such as fire circus and aerial dance shows, will also be presented, alongside more intimate initiatives like the Cabinas Poéticas, which transform telephone booths into spaces for sound art and performative literature. The Open Studios routes are expanding to 16 studios organized into four tours.

"The strength of the Nit is having given weight to culture in complex times. Without it, what life do we have? Art is nourishment. We are lacking oxygen, and artistic expressions are a channel to navigate humanity with enthusiasm."
